Types of Canadian Women Gallery

Here are some of the photos in K.I. Press's collection of historical portraits of women. Most of them are anonymous. Some are Canadian, some aren't. Karen became interested in historical photos when she worked as a photo researcher on Canadian history books. Many of these photos appear in her book Types of Canadian Women, along with additional photos from the collections of the Library and Archives of Canada, the Archives of Ontario, the Nova Scotia Archives, and the British Columbia Archives.
