News and Events• June 27. I've been so busy I forgot to mention that TCW is on the ReLit shortlist for poetry. I'm pretty sure they are announcing the winner pretty soon. Also, there is a new review in Canadian Literature, but I can't find the link at the moment. • April 19. I am addicted to Facebook. In other news, there is a new review of TCW at Rambles.net. • April 7 - Martin Levin in the Globe and Mail publishes some comments by poets (like me) about poetry that matters. (Link will go stale.) • March 31 - Types is on the Pat Lowther Award Shortlist. I think the official announcement is not until Apr. 2, but the League had it in their newsletter anyway. Check out the League website for details. Event: Will likely read at the League AGM in Edmonton Saturday, June 9. Upcoming Events: I'll be one of many poets reading at the launch of Prairie Fire's special issue Home Place at the McNally Robinson Grant Park Friday, April 27, 7 PM. • February 26. John K. Samson--Weakerthans member and Canada Reads panelist --says he's reading TCW. What? It's a poetry book, surely you're not supposed to actually read it? Oh, there's also a new review in The Dominion (PDF). • Jan. 27 - There's an interview with me in the new issue of the on-line magazine ottawater (www.ottawater.com). Go there and download the "Third Issue"- I'm on page 103. • Jan. 13 - There's a review of Types of Canadian Women in the Quill & Quire. You can read it on-line here. You have to scroll down a bit, it's a review of two books and mine is second. • Jan. 7: I have a myspace page, www.myspace.com/kipress. It's not much, but I thought I would join the bandwagon. Actually, I needed to learn it for work (check out the myspace.com/winnipegfolkfestival). And then I got addicted. I have a crappy blog there that is mostly about internet time-wasting and self-promotion, like this page! It's not erudite or particularly intelligent at all, if that is what you want in a poet's blog. • News as of December 13, 2006: A couple new links. There is a little "Highly Recommended" blurb for Types of Canadian Women at Taddle Creek. Also, see The Danforth Review for my article about my trip to Iceland.
