I saw the new iMac today. Very nice indeed. Fast, sleek, compact. It was not tippy at all. Unless I really shoved that thing it wasn't going any where. The space at the bottom, where the Apple logo is, was definitely not as obtrusive to the eye as I thought it would be. It seemed to fit with the rest of the unit. Personally, I thought there was a noticeable difference in size, UI, between the 17'' and the 20". The 17" seemed much smaller and a little small in comparison with its casing. The 20" was much more symmetric and complete. I'd recommend the 20". And lastly, the speakers didn't seem very loud. I cranked it up and I wasn't too impressed. Of course it was in a busy store but still. It's a tough call; I'd have to see it again I think. Over all I think once again Apple has done well to incorporate design and function into one complete package. I want one. And I want it now. |
