The   [ SUCKS ]   Badge Page

As a time-saving measure, and a gesture of friendship to all time-starved webmasters, I’ve created a set of badges anyone can use to slam their pet peeves. Every worthwhile teenage webmaster has to slam something, but he or she might not have the time or skills to create an appropriate graphic to tarnish the image of their least favorite browser/platform/industry leader/musical group/online service/dance move/social cause/etc.

Simply place one of these all-purpose badges next to an appropriated corporate logo or advertisement that you dislike, and your point is made!

Say you can’t stand Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. Just do this:

[ Microsoft Internet Explorer ] [ SUCKS ]

Maybe you hate Netscape:

[ Netscape Now ] [ SUCKS ]

What if you use Windows and the existance of different and/or more advanced operating systems threatens your view of the world? Just do this:

[ Mac OS ] [ SUCKS ]
(Sorry, Mac-bashers—I did it first. No fun for you to copy me.)

Are you sick of “under construction” signs like me?

'under construction' workman [ SUCKS ]

Only brain-dead people would use your least favorite text editor to hack out HTML:

[ Made with Microsoft Notepad ] [ SUCKS ]

Is your primary web page on a free hosting service? Put this graphic prominently on your page so we’ll know what to expect:

[ This Sucks! ]

What if you think this whole idea is ridiculous? Just do this:

[ SUCKS ] [ SUCKS ]

Finally, what if you think I ripped this whole idea off of Letterman and I don’t have the dimmest clue about anything? Just do this:

The C.O.D. [ SUCKS ]

Both badges are saved in 5-bit grays to minimize download times. They are standard badge size—88×31 pixels. To download, just follow the links to which the graphics point (graphical users: this means click on the buttons). Mac users can simply drag the graphics to their desktops. To use these graphics, use your own local copies of the files; do not link to my copies.
