Details and rules for the contest

I am pleased to announce, on behalf of Joey Belville and The Echoing Green…

The “GO SUPERNOVA” contest!!

Joey and I have come up with the following contest so that one of you hardcore Echoing Green fans can win a prerelease copy of the new album Supernova, way before it’s out in stores on 9/19/00. Here’s the deal: all you have to do is send us a photograph or photographs of any Echoing Green paraphenalia that you have acquired or created. We’re looking for the coolest, strangest and downright most unique items, not just the most total stuff. Still have those Post-It(tm) notes from Science Fiction? What about that time you recreated the cover art from Defend Your Joy using real fruit? Take a picture and send it in!!

Of course, it can’t very well be a contest without some rules. So, here you go:

1.) Entries must be clearly photographed and can be submitted as follows: scanned and e-mailed as an attachment if the file(s) are smaller than 50K, scanned and posted on an accessible web site (e-mail us the URL or post it in the Fan Forum), or snail-mailed to:

Andrew Brown
[address deleted]

I’ll be collecting and organizing the entries and then passing them on to Joey. Other methods of delivery may be authorized by myself or Joey, but you’ll have to ask us first.
2.) The most unique collection will be the one that wins, not the largest. But keep in mind that the more stuff you show us, the better chance you’ll have.
3.) Stuff can be “official” Echoing Green material or “unofficial” fan-created stuff. It just has to be cool and unique.
4.) All entries must be time-stamped (e-mail) or postmarked (snail-mail) no later than June 17th, to coincide with the premiere of “Supernova” on MP3.com. At some point in time after June 17th, Joey will select a winner and send them their prize.
5.) Joey has complete authority to judge all entries and will be the sole determinant of the winner. I’m in charge of compiling entries and other administrative duties but I’m not eligible to win.
6.) The winner will receive one (1) CD of the forthcoming super-cool Echoing Green album Supernova, long before it is available in any store.

This contest is void if it’s illegal in your state/province/country/whatever. Rules are subject to modification or even complete and total change without notice. All questions regarding the contest should be e-mailed to me at andrew@echocentral.com and/or posted to the Forum. I reserve the right to fix any dumb mistakes I may have made. Have a nice day!

—Andrew
