pibe bach was formed 2001 and played together until 2004. it comprised ceri rhys matthews, john tose and later, gerard kilbride on pipes; with andy jones and chris pitson on drums. pibe bach's repertoire comprised traditional welsh material as well as contemporary compositions by the players. in the short time of its existance, the response to the band was exciting including appearances at dances, festivals, the national eisteddfod and touring abroad, especialy in the arab world.
