Monterey Bay Aquarium 5/26/2002

Finally, finally, I made it to Monterey -- after over 2 years in the Bay Area. Pretty bad, huh?

Of course, this being a long weekend, I had to get sick as well, so I had to cut my visit short. I did manage to see the Monterey Bay Aquarium though, and here are a few photos. It might appear they have only jellyfish there. Tthat's definitely not true, but the jellyfish fascinated me most. Also, by the time I was done with that exhibit I felt pretty bad already and left shortly after.

What's special about the jellyfish exhibit is that artwork inspired by the jellyfish is shown alongside the jellyfish tanks. An example for such artwork is shown in the last photo (a part of a glass sculpture).

My digital camera can take little video clips and I scaled a few of these down and put them on here as well. The videos are about 400-500 KB in size each. You need Quicktime to see them. (get Quicktime here, if you don't have it)

Well, what more can I say there... I just let the images speak for themselves... Monterey Bay Aquarium Web site
