Christmas decorations

This is a project I wanted to do for years, but I never got around to actually doing it... In Atlanta I often saw these elaborately decorated gardens at christmas time. Well, it's not exactly what I would do my garden if I had one, but in a weird way all these lights are cute in a goofy way. So I always wanted to take photos of some good ones and put them on my web site. Of course, I never had a camera with me when I saw one. Also, back then my digital camera was not ideal for such a project. After all, it's dark and these lights are pretty weak. Even my new camera struggles with this scenario, but I got a couple of photos that are worth showing. Here they are :) (of course all of these are San Jose, Ca, not Atlanta. And I should point out that some of Atlanta decorations I saw were much more elaborate)...

<RANT> In light of the energy crisis we are having... Well, these things do burn up a lot of electricity. For all people who don't know this yet: there are new LED lights that are a) almost undestructible, b) don't burn out c) don't stop the whole chain from working when one does break d) cost only a fraction more e) use only 10% energy. I hope more and more people will use those! </RANT>

PS: You cannot see it on the photos -- many of these decorations are actually moving! Waving Santas, galloping reindeer, book-reading elves... what will they think of next...?
