A PARODY: THE IBSEN CODEX

"Like a recurring theme in some demonic symphony, the suffocating darkness had returned."

-- Dan Brown, Angels & Demons

According to the OED, a parody is "a literary composition modelled on and imitating another work, especially a composition in which the characteristic style and themes of a particular author or genre are satirized by being applied to inappropriate or unlikely subjects, or are otherwies exaaggerated for comic effect."

Welcome to a parody of Dan Brown's immensely popular Da Vinci Code, which is an amalgamation of the detective thriller genre and the conspiracy theory genre.

I won't pull any punches here, I thought it was absolute drivel, but better at least than the other D.B. novels that are so bad they're funny...

So, if you're a huge fan of D.B.'s writing, go ahead and avert your eyes...

Still here? Great...! Please read, enjoy, and compare The Ibsen Codex, penned by a friend who wishes to remain anonymous for fear of lawsuits and the Illuminati. We'll just call her Damn Brown.

This is a work of fiction (considered by some to be satirical in nature) and in no way has anything to do with author Dan Brown or his novels. No one writing for Otaku Central claims ownership or authorship of the novels, The Da Vinci Code or Angels and Demons or to the characters occupying the pages of The Da Vinci Code or Angels and Demons.
