On this Twentieth day of February A D One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty personaly appeared before one Jonathan R Neff a Justice of the Peace of and for the County of Otsego and State aforesaid William Lunn a resident of Otsego Co in the State of New York who being duly Sworn according to law declares that he is the identical William Lunn Mentioned in the claim for Invalid Pension No 264477. That his residence for the five years immediately preceeding his enlistment was in the Town of New Lisbon Otsego Co NY that his occupation was that of a farm Laborer and that since his discharge he has worked as a farm laborer for five months imediately after his discharge at half price that he worked as a farm laborer for one year commecenge January 1st 1866 and closing such labor Jany 1867 at half price Since which time he has been a farmer having carried on a farm to the present time whenever he was able to work
That his disease was contracted in the army and he was sick with chronic Diarreah duing the winter of 62 & 63 which led to Dropsy
that since his return from the army he has been troubled with the diareah and Dropsy That since his return he has been under the Medical treatment of John F Mather, now deceased, Residence at Garrattsville Otsego County imediatley after his return
In the year 1876 he consulted Dr. Wm B. Chanbers of Edmeston Center Otsego Co NY who pronounced his case Sleeping Lethargy and incurable caused by the Dropsy that in the year 1878 he was treated for Intermittent Billious fever by Dr. G W P Wheeler of Garrattsville Otsego County NY that he was confined to the house by that sickness Six weeks that in the summer of 1879 he was under said Dr. Wheeler Care in the month of August two week the disease being cholera Morbus and a verry violent attack
That since his return from the army he has had an attack of the Diahreah five or Six times each and every year since
that in the Month of January 1880 he was examined by Dr. M J McClellan of Garratttsville Otsego Co NY who pronounces his disease the Sleeping Lethargy and that his case is incurable That since his discharge he has worked at farm work whenever he has been able to to the present time
