John Lunn a Corporal, of Captain Aaron G Everest Company C of the Second Cavalry Regiment of the United States Minn Vols was enlisted by Lieut Aaron G Everest of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment of Minn Vols at Sommersett Minnesota on the First day of December, 1863 to serve Three years; he was born in Burlington in the State of New York, is Twenty Seven years of age, Five feet Eight inches high, Light complexion, Blue eyes, Sandy hair, and by occupation when enlisted a Farmer During the last six months said soldier has been unfit for duty 130 days. The disease was contracted while in line of duty since enlistment during Month of September 1864 on Indian Expedition of 1864 under Genrl. Sully. This soldier is severely afflicted with Chronic Rheumatism having been for a long time entirely unable to walk he is in my opinion entirely unfit for duty as a Soldier on duty in Vets Res Corps and should be Discharged

I certify that I have carefully examined the said John Lunn a Corporal of Captain Aaron G. Everest's company, and find him incapable of performing the duties of a soldier because of Chronic Rheumatism. This soldier has been severely afflicted with the disease named and in hospital four months under treatment with no improvement. I believe the disease contracted since Enlistment in line of duty -- This soldier is unfit for duty in "Vet Res Corps" Degree of disability two thirds
