Declaration for Pension

On this 1st day of April, A.D. one thousand nine hundred and seven, personally appeared before me, a Notary Public within and for the county and State aforesaid, John Lunn, who, being duly sworn according to law, declares that he is 70 years of age, and a resident of Pittsfield, county of Otsego, State of New York; and that he is the identical person who was enrolled at Owatona, Minnesota under the name of John Lunn, on the 1st day of December, 1863, as a Corporal, in Captain Aaron S. Everest's Company C 2nd Regiment of Cavalry Minnesota Volunteers in the service of the United States in the Civil war, and was Honorably Discharged at Fort Wadsworth, on the 17th day of July, 1865.
That he also served___________
 
That he was not employed in the military or naval service of the United States otherwise than as stated above. That his personal description at enlistment was as follows: Height, 5 feet 8 inches; complexion, light; color of eyes, blue; color of hair, sandy; that his occupation was farmer; that he was born September 6, 1836, at Burlington New York
That his several places of residence since leaving the service have been as follows: Onalaska, Min. 1865-1868, Tannigh(?) Min. 1868-1873, Towns of Pittsfield and New Lisbon NY, 1873-1882, Towns of Laurens and Otego NY, 1882-1896, Town of Pittsfield NY since 1896.
 
That he is a ____pensioner. That he has not heretofore applied for pension under act Feb'y 6, 1907. Number of pension certified 4754
 
That he makes this declaration for the purpose of being placed on the pension roll of the United States under the provisions of the act of February 6, 1907.
 
That his post-office address is Edmeston R.F.D. No 1, county of Otsego, State of New York

Also personally appeared Henry S. Haight, residing in New Berlin NY, and Edward H. Elliott, residing in New Berlin NY, persons whom I certify to be respectable and entitled to credit, and who, being by me duly sworn, say that they were present and saw John Lunn, the claimant, sign his name (or make his mark) to the foreging declaration; that they have every reason to believe, from the appearance of the claimant and their acquaintance with him of 15 years and 40 years, respectively, that he is the identical person he represents himself to be, and that they have no interest in the prosecution of this claim.
