In the pension claim of Edward H. Lunn Personally appeared before me, a Notary Public in and for aforesaid County and State, Edward H. Lunn late ___, Company 1st Batty Regiment Wisc Lt Art Batty Volunteers, now a resident of Ashley, County of McIntosh, State of N. Dak., well know to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who, being duly sworn, declares, in relation to aforesaid case, as follows:

That he is unable to comply with the requirements of the Pension Office as to furnishing evidence of his regimental Surgeon showing treatment in Service for the reason that we had no Regimental or other Surgeon-. We had a Hospital Steward who is dead, as I am informed and believe.
