Edward H. Lunn being duly sworn upon oath says:

That he is the same person who made appliction for pension No. 261,859 1st Battery, Wisconsion Light Artillery Volunteers.

That he received the order for examination, issued June 29th 1886, about the month of October 1886, too late to comply with said order; and that he then wrote to the Dep't at Washington, and explained the matter, sending them the envelope in which the order was mailed to him, with post marks giving date when he received it: That he received the order at the Post Office at Barry, Minn., it having been mailed to Phillips, Wisc., was forwarded from there to LaCrosse, Wisc., and from there to Barry, Minn.
