Embracing this spirit of community and togetherness, Friendship Club is up and running in the South Shore communities of Quincy, Duxbury, and Norwell, Massachusetts. Friendship Club provides individuals with developmental disabilities many opportunities for companionship, skill development, and community building. Friendship Club has over 65 members, and  continues to grow.  In fact, we'll add a Young Friendship Club at Christ Lutheran Church in Scituate in September.  

Members meet at each location twice per month to prepare a meal together, participate in craft and community service projects, share their thoughts and feelings and have fun!  Relationships build over time and club members support and assist each other, creating a community of competence and caring.

A fun and fit summer for Friendship Club - Team Friendship had a great time at the Scituate Duathlon!  We look forward to more fun and fitness with our new friends at "Fitness Together"

In addition to regularly scheduled meetings, activities include: concerts, sailing trips, holiday parties, cooking classes, and participation in many special events hosted by local companies and churches.
