Rendering
![]() This image shows one of the schemes, rendered in flat mode within Triforma. This basic type of rendering has the main advantage of allowing a quick visualization of the drawn models, appropiate for the first stages of the design. It's main disadvantages come from the lack of resolution and unability to portray more detailed scenes (materials, weather, urban context) These more advanced rendering techniques are; smooth, gouraud, phong and ray tracing, and they allow the introduction of more environmental variables, increasing the detail quality and quantity, as well as the processing time. ![]() This image was rendered within Triforma and the text added within an Image editing package (Paint Shop Pro). The combined use of basic 3D renderings and text integrates two types of information that are contained in any architectural project, and that normally are very difficult to associate for non trained people. In this way, the 3d model serves a dual purpose; is an exploratory tool for the designer, and a communication tool for the user. This fact can be also achived using normal modelling, but without the time efficiency of CAD; fact that shortens their life use.
