Vacant Sites Map of the Trongate Area
The existence of several vacant sites in this area is a direct consequence
of two incomplete clearance plans carried out during the end of the XIX century,
and the early 60's by the Glasgow District (now Glasgow City Council).
These sites are now used mostly as parking areas or even as temporary green spaces, waiting for development.
The side south of London Rd. is the only area being redeveloped since 1991.
