Bare Feet Blooming

Bare feet blooming
All over the park
Up and down the street
Through the backyards
And over the fences
Slap slap slapping
Across the hot asphalt
Squish squish squishing
In the dew-covered grass
Spring has sprung at last
Bare feet are in bloom

What Is Wind?

The sun is up in the sky
The moon is down below my eye
She's on her way to Shanghai.

She steals his tiny chocolate chip
She reads a long comic strip
She blows away a paperclip
And messes up my sunset strip.

East and west she's always there
North and south she has fresh air
She comes and goes, she's everywhere
And at the same time there is no one there.

Whistling and talking on a hot summer day
She brings joy to people night and day
But in the winter of Norway
She bundles up for an ice tray.

Aboard the blue and white checkerboard
Unexplored she scores
You and I may say good night
And close both eyes but she will always just
Shut one eye.

The moon is up in the sky
The sun is down below my eye.
