I Sat Down On The Cold Stone

I sat down on the cold stone
Letting the chill seep deep
Into my ancient bones
Opening myself to every note
Of the plaintive song
Left by those long gone
My body tuning itself
To all that went before
Laughing their joys
Crying their tears
Living their lives
Sitting there
On the cold stone
Of years gone by
