Jewels are beautiful
No doubt about it
Their cut and color
Capturing a solitary hue
Or every color of the rainbow
Meant to be admired and treasured
But they can not compete
With the round perfection
Of beauty held up to the light
Then carefully nestled into your knuckle
And sent spinning over the dirt
With a flick of your thumb
