Sea Of Snow

Sea of snow
Drowning the plains
Setting me adrift
In the schooner
I call my truck

Starboard light
Twinkling on the prow
Of a ship that was
A cozy cabin

Barges of hay bales
Nosing their way
Against the waves

A lighthouse blinks
Its beacon through the dark
And out of nowhere
A battleship rises
On the horizon

I sail quietly past
A harbor full of boats
Nestled safely
Against the chilling winds

All the world
Transformed this night
By an ocean of snow
