A Single Verse

A single verse
From a song heard long ago
Sometimes even only a line
Or a snippet of it
Rolling through my brain
Bouncing back and forth
Reverberating over and over
As I twist it and turn it
And look at it from every angle
Until some hidden facet
Reveals itself
With a thunderclap
And the song fades away
