LED Solution for ATX conversions

Well, I realized that people are probably more interested in this information than my case, so I should get this out as soon as I can! Sorry I didn't write about it earlier, but I was hoping to get my project finished by now.

Here is a quick and easy solution to the problem of LED's not working with
ATX cases and either Gigabit, Digital Audio, or QuickSilver boards. Read More

Time to...Wait

I am still waiting for my PowerLogix Dual 867 to come back from Techsupport.  In the mean time, I am attempting a couple of projects on my Lian Li.  Both of which I don't want to give away until they are completed.  So if I can actually get home in this weather, I will attempt to complete them and have pictures to under whelm you with:D

Back to Basics...

I have tried and failed to get a working Dual 800 module...so I went ahead and purchased the PowerLogix Dual 867 upgrade...and guess what? It arrived fubared. Was able to boot up once in OS 9 to the tune of single 867 of unknown processor type with 2MB of L2 cache. OS X wouldn't have anything to do with it. Currently being RMA'd and I hope to get it back before I'm an old man.

Tweaked the voltage on my 800 module and got it to boot and run at 1ghz, although I went to far with the voltage and had to revert it back to 800...lol...that's actually lucky...it could have been worse. NEVER GO ABOVE 2.1V on a 7450 or 7451 unless you like your stock mhz or LOWER. Bad things happen to those who go overboard.

Good news though...I have figured out a simple way to get the LED working on gigabit and later logic boards in PC cases. It involves rethinking the pinout and utilizing some simple electronics principles. It's actually much easier than that...hehe:D

I will update tomorrow, after I get some sleep. Also, if you haven't noticed, my page is going to be geared toward general modding and tweaking of Built from parts Macs from here on out.
