JNWERKS is a collection of professional and personal work highlighting my passion for design, communication and media.
As a multimedia designer, my goal is to solve problems and challenges inherent in designing and implementing rich media-based content for the Internet, television and CD/DVD-ROMs while incorporating multimedia compression techniques, distribution formats, and playback and viewing standards.
The samples on this site reflect how ideas and concepts can be effectively communicated through an array of media outlets utilizing design and new technologies that are both accessible and can reach a larger audience regardless of the medium.

Video Production
A demo gallery that I created showcasing instructional and educational videos in variety of disciplines which I filmed, edited and delivered for online, CD/DVD and television viewing. All of the videos are in streaming Flash format and the website itself was developed using CSS, XML, AJAX/SPRY and Flash.

Wrecked
A short film entered in Boston's 48 Hour Film Festival where participants had only three days to write, direct, film, edit and deliver the final version. The film was shown at the Kendall Square Theatre.

A series of video segments created for a non-profit organization, informing international exchange students of sexual behaviors and mores in the U.S. The videos were distributed online and on DVD format.

Heads or Tails
A behind the scenes on the making of Heads or Tails, a short film exploring the concept of luck. The DVD (containing the short film, motion menus and special features) was awarded an Evvy for Best New Media Project.

The Apprentice Musical
An audition tape submitted to the popular televsion show for Season 3 that helped the participant be selected to appear on the show. The clip was shown on numerous talk shows and was included in the official DVD release by NBC.

Airstream by Fastball
A music video tying in both the vehicle and a song from the music band's most recent album release. This was filmed throughout the greater Boston area in such locations as the Coolidge Corner Theatre, the Paradise Club and the former Virgin Mega Store on Newbury Street.
