Jon Buckley’s professional experience has stretched over 25 years, in every facet of communications, working with some of the most prestigious names in the industry. Currently, Jon is employed as Vice President and Graphic Services Manager, Advertising and Creative Services, at the headquarters of Northern Trust, a Fortune 500 global financial services firm, located on La Salle Street in Chicago. Jon is also available for freelance commissions through his firm, Buckley Typographics.
Professionally trained and experienced in issues regarding both traditional and new media, Jon’s knowledge of printing issues on both sides of the business; as a designer / illustrator and as a client, guarantees the ability to intelligently make decisions regarding art creation for any application and to guarantee faultless production under demanding circumstances.
Jon holds a bachelors degree in Illustration, Design and Communications from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He has also studied at the American Academy of Art, Chicago, and the University of Illinois campus at Chicago. Professional training also includes a wide variety of computer software, computer hardware trouble-shooting (Macintosh and IBM), professional graphics, web creation and illustration packages.
Along with being published on the covers and interiors of several national and trade magazines, Jon Buckley’s work was also featured in Digital Imaging magazine.
Jon's home and studio is located in downtown Chicago, Illinois.
