Salling Clicker v.2.1 released, adds support for Symbian-based smartphones

Stockholm, Sweden—February 27, 2004—Salling Software AB today announced the immediate availability of Salling Clicker v.2.1, a significant update to its award-winning Bluetooth remote control utility for Macintosh computers. The new version adds extensive support for Symbian-based smartphones from Nokia, Siemens, and Sony Ericsson.

"We believe P900 users will enjoy Salling Clicker. P900 is a truly capable, all-in-one phone, and Salling Clicker adds the entertainment side that professional users are looking for, by enabling this application via Bluetooth", says Steve Walker, Vice President Global Marketing at Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB.

Salling Clicker makes use of these devices' unique capabilities. When controlling iTunes, album artwork graphics is shown in the display, and with pen-operated smartphones, the computer's pointer can be controlled from afar in a new and innovative way.

In addition to its extensive support for smartphones, Salling Clicker v.2.1 improves ease-of-use and adds functionality. "Users of Apple's iPod will feel at home with how they can now browse their iTunes music libraries hierarchically with Salling Clicker," said Jonas Salling, President of Salling Software AB.

Salling Clicker v.2.1 comes out almost exactly one year after version 1.0 was first released on February 28, 2003. "We know that some of our users have moved to Symbian-based phones over the past year, and we want to reward them for helping make Salling Clicker a smash hit," Mr. Salling said. "The 2.1 upgrade is free of charge for existing customers and includes support for all types of phones and PDAs."
