Salling Software updates Sony Ericsson Clicker

Stockholm, Sweden—April 4 2003—Salling Software today announced the immediate availability of Sony Ericsson Clicker version 1.5, an update to Salling's revolutionary program that lets users remotely control almost any Macintosh application from compatible Sony Ericsson mobile phones.

"Within just a few days of its initial release in March, thousands of Macintosh users had downloaded Sony Ericsson Clicker with some of them already starting to contribute action scripts to the community, furthering the capabilities of the software," said Jonas Salling, software artisan and Salling Software's creative force. New features in Sony Ericsson Clicker v.1.5 include:

• Refined use of AppleScript to build six different kinds of widgets in the phone's display;
• Enhanced action scripts for the following applications:
  • iTunes: find track by name and artist, FF/REW, keypad mode and playlist menu;
  • DVD Player: chapter menu, fast forward/rewind, and keypad mode;
  • Keynote: first slide, last slide, toggle black screen, and keypad mode;
  • PowerPoint: first slide, last slide, and keypad mode;
  • System: mouse cursor, Screen Saver
• Built-in functionality to download new and upgraded action scripts;
• Enhanced proximity sensor functionality;
• "Visual" designer to allow users to easily create their own "keypad based" controls;
• Easier installation of 3rd party action scripts by drag-and-drop; and
• Support for simultaneous operation with Apple's Address Book

Sony Ericsson Clicker v.1.5 is available now through Salling's Software Store (www.salling.com) for a price of $9.95 (US) per user license. In unregistered "demo mode", Sony Ericsson Clicker is limited to 30 clicks at a time. Sony Ericsson Clicker v.1.5 is available as a free update to existing Sony Ericsson Clicker customers. The software is designed to run on all Bluetooth equipped Macintosh computers and requires a compatible Sony Ericsson mobile phone (T39, T520, T68, T68i, or T610) and Mac OS X version 10.2.4 or later.
