Ericsson Client won't detect my Bluetooth phone; how can I fix this?
Sometimes, the built-in "Bluetooth-modem" serial port gets broken. If this happens, you need to create a new outgoing serial port:
- Under 10.2.4, launch the new Bluetooth Serial Utility and create a new outgoing serial port (connect it to either serial 1 or serial 2 in your phone). Then, select this new port in Ericsson Client's preferences panel.
- Under earlier OS X versions, use the Bluetooth pane in System Preferences. Create a new outgoing serial port (connect it to either serial 1 or serial 2 in your phone). Then, select this new port in Ericsson Client's preferences panel.
Ericsson Client won't detect my IrDA phone; how can I fix this?
Most likely, you have installed Palm's Hotsync application. Make sure the Hotsync application is not set to use the IrDA port, since there is a known incompatibility with Ericsson Client.
