Curbside Recycling Reminders:Ê What and how to put out your recyclables
 · Glass bottles and jars, rinsed out, no lids. No mirrors, ceramics and broken glass
· Metal and aluminum cans, rinsed out.Ê No aluminum food trays or foil
 · Empty paint cans.Ê Air dried, lids off.Ê No more than a thin "skin" of paint.
· Empty aerosol cans, no lids.
 The above materials can be placed in any plastic or metal container-just mark "Recycling" on the container

 · Mixed paper (magazines, mail, cereal-type boxes (without wax paper) catalogs, newspapers.Ê Tie with string or place in paper bag.

 REMEMBER:Ê NO corrugated cardboard and NO plastics are recycled curbside.Ê See below for recycling these items.

Plastics and Mixed Paper Recycling (including corrugated cardboard)
 Washington Avenue, under I-95 next to the Rizzo Rink.
 First Saturday of every month from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

 All necessary information is below. If you use these sites, please be a responsible recycler! Do not leave anything that is not listed below and do not leave anything before or after the posted hours of operation. The site is run by volunteers and it falls on them to clean up.

 WHAT TO BRING:
 #1 and #2 plastics, with tops off and flattened.
 (Plastic containers are marked on the bottom with a number inside a triangular set of arrows)
 MIXED PAPER:
 magazines, newspapers, catalogs, phone books, carboard boxes (flattened, clean, dry, unwaxed)
 The project is sponsored by the Philadelphia Partnership Recycling Program and is a joint effort of the Friends of Jefferson Square, Queen Village Neighbors Association, and the City of Philadelphia.
