More on net neutrality

Yesterday I briefly posted about Joe Courtney's meeting in Norwich with some folks that are interested in net neutrality. Here's Joe making his commitment fairly clear.

It turns out that Joe's campaign manager, Lon Seidman, a once and now again blogger, educated Joe on the issue during the campaign, so he was fairly committed to net neutrality already.

This is one of those issues that gets little attention except on the blogs, but it could be crucial to the future of this country. Preserving equal access to the internet preserves the ability of citizens like your truly to make their voices heard. If the non-corporate websites get shunted off to the side into their own little ghetto, then every form of mass media will be effectively controlled by giant corporations, none of whom have a vested interest in making sure that people from the left get their message out.
