All hanging separately

I love it when one of the big blogs writes something similar to what I've already said, so I thought I would direct my reader's attention to this post at Kos by Kagros X (Getting Separated from the Herd). He (or she) makes the same point that I have (here and here) about the need for the Democratic candidates to make common cause with one another to ward off right wing attacks if they want the eventual nominee to have a reasonable chance of winning. Sometimes the monumental selfishness of these people is enough to drive one to despair. They would never think of helping a Democratic rival, even if doing so might help assure that we are delivered from the grip of the fascists that are running this country. That selfishness is only exceeded by their monumental stupidity, in that none of them (except Hillary, who's learned) appear to have anticipated these tactics, which have just been around for -let's see, at least twenty years.

The may learn that Ben Franklin was right, and we may be stuck with another four years of Republican rule, because make no mistake about it, so long as there's a Republican in the White House, controlling Congress means almost nothing.
