1. William WYANT was born in 1831 in Union Twp Harrison Co, OH. He married Nancy Ann SPURGEON, daughter of George SPURGEON and Barbara E. HOOVER, on 11 Sep 1861 in Union Co., OH. Nancy was born in 1845 in OH. She died on 17 Aug 1904 in Vermilion Co., IL. William died after 1900. Their children - Sarah L 1865, Mary Ellen 1866, George M 1867, Charles W 1870, Belle 1872, Melvina 1874, Amanda 1876, and Lily 1880 - are described furher in the fourth generation.

2. Mary Jane WYANT was born in 1833 in Union Twp, Carroll Co, OH. She died on 2 Aug 1899 in Vermilion Co., IL. and was buried in Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville, Vermilion Co., IL. She married George W. VANGORDON, son of Henry VANGORDEN and Catherine CARTER, in OH. George was born on 26 Sep 1830 in OH. He died on 17 Jul 1884 in Vermilion Co., IL. and was buried in Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville, Vermilion Co., IL.They had the following children: Henry 1856, Eliza Jane 1857, Harriet "Hattie" 1859, Nancy "Nannie" 1861, Julia 1863, Susan "Viola" 1866, Charlotte 1868.

3. Amanda WYANT was born on 21 Oct 1834 in Union Twp, Carroll Co, OH. She died on 8 Oct 1908 in Olive Twp, Noble County, OH. and was buried in Olive Cemetery, Caldwell, Olive Twp., Noble Co., OH. She married Arthur STILL, son of John STILL and Louisa THURLOW, on 5 Apr 1857 in Noble Co., Ohio. Arthur was born on 24 Dec 1835 in Olive Twp, Morgan Co., OH. He died on 23 Apr 1908 in Olive Twp, Noble Co., OH. and was buried in Olive Cemetery, Caldwell, Olive Twp., Noble Co., OH. They had the following children: Mary Louisa 1858,  James Franklin, 1865 (adopted), Clara Nettie 1873, Finley Edgar 1877.

4. Charlotte WYANT was born in 1838 in Union Twp, Carroll Co, OH. She died after 1890. She married James Henry EMBERSON, son of William EMBERSON and Mary, on 10 Apr 1856 in Union Co., OH. He was born in 1837 in OH. and died in 1867 in Decatur Co., IA. They had the following children: Mary, John W. and Francis M.

5. Elizabeth Ann WYANT was born on 12 Feb 1840 in Union Twp, Carroll Co, OH. She died on 29 Jan 1890 in Potomac, Middlefork Twp., Vermilion. Co., IL. and was buried in Potomac Cem., Potomac, Vermilion Co., IL. She married Moses SPAIN, son of William SPAIN and Mary COLE, on 29 Sep 1859 in Marysville, Union Co, OH. Moses was born on 7 Dec 1836 in Champaign Co., OH. He died on 7 Mar 1865 in Adams Gen.Hosp., Memphis, TN. and was buried in Nat'l Cem., Memphis, TN. They had Francis Marion 1860. Elizabeth also married William WALLACE on 23 Jan 1866 in Danville, Vermilion, , IL. He was born in 1830 in OH. He died in 1875 in Potomac, Middlefork Twp., Vermilion Co., IL. and was buried in Potomac Cemetery, Potomac, Vermilion Co., IL (?). They had the following children: Mary Catherine 1867, Joseph Wilson. son, Oliver Morton 1872. Elizabeth also married James G. WAUGH, son of Jacob WAUGH and Mary MAINS, on 16 Jan 1883 in Danville, Vermilion, , IL. He was born in 1812 in KY. He died in 1898 in Potomac, Middlefork Twp., Vermilion Co., IL. and was buried in Potomac Cem., Potomac, Vermilion  Co., IL.

6. Nicholas Burger WYANT was born on 25 Jan 1841 in Union Twp, Carroll Co, OH. He died on 4 Jun 1906 in Mott, Hettinger Co., ND. He married Cathrine RUNYON "Cetha" on 23 Nov 1874 in Vermilion Co., IL. Their children - John W. 1875, James M., Sarah Jane 1877, Edward R. 1882, Truman Coe 1889, Mamie E. 1890 - are described in the fourth generation.

7. John Jeffrey WYANT was born on 5 Dec 1844 in Union Twp, Carroll Co, OH. He died on 22 Jul 1919 in Nr Newcastle, Daily Twp., Dixon Co., NE. and was buried in Newcastle Cemetery, Newcastle, IA. John enlisted in the Army at the age of 17 and served 3 years and 8 months in the Civil War as a private in Co. F, of the 66th Ohio Infantry. He was taken prisoner, 9 Jun 1862, at Battle of Port Republic, VA., and apparently exchanged, for he was wounded June 18, 1863 (during the Gettysburg, PA Campaign 11 Jun 1863 - 27 Jul 1863). Discharged: June 28, 1865. He married Nancy Anna POTTER, daughter of Rigdon POTTER and Margaret B. HUMPHREYS, on 8 May 1873 in Potomac, Middlefork Twp., Vermilion Co., IL. She was born on 25 Nov 1851 in Danville, Vermilion Co., IL. She died in 1933 in Laurel, NE. and was buried in Newcastle Cemetery, Newcastle, IA. Soon after the 1880 Census was taken, John and brothers Martin and Nicholas moved west to homestead in South Dakota. Their children - Margaret "Maggie" Inez 1871, Anna Marie 1877, Thomas Christopher 1879, Bruce Rigdon1882, Benjamin Butler 1885, Millard Herbert "Mike" 1887, Edna 1891, Russell Willard 1893 - are described in the fourth generation.

8. Martin Vanburen WYANT was born on 10 Sep 1851. He died on 5 Oct 1930 in Lorenzo, Jefferson Co., ID. and was buried on 8 Oct 1930 in Shelton, Jefferson Co., ID. He married Sarah Elizabeth LISTER "Elissie", daughter of Joseph LISTER and Almira D. HOBSON, on 19 Apr 1884 in Fountain Co., IN. Elissie was born on 1 Feb 1862 in Johnsonville, Warren Co., IN. She died on 10 Sep 1894 in Rigby, Jefferson Co., IA. and was buried on 13 Sep 1894 in Shelton, Jefferson Co., IA. Their children Dot Almira 1884, Joseph Alma 1886, Martin Vanburen 1889, Amanda 1892, daughter 1894 - are described in the fourth generation.

9. Sarah I. "Bell" WYANT was born in Oct 1854. She died before 1910 in IL. She married George W. WATSON, son of James M. WATSON and Dorcus Ann MORELAND, on 6 Oct 1878 in Potomac, Middlefork Twp., Vermilion Co., IL. George was born in Dec 1855 in OH. and died about 1915 in Middlefork Twp., Vermilion Co., IL. They had Ada 1892.
