Training Academy

At the time of the launch of the Cithnet ministry God provided for us in a remarkable way. We were approached by the Trustees of the local Gospel Hall and were able to negotiate a lease for use of their premises. It is located in an ideal position at:

  • Use 1: Simulated Church in the House meetings, We have furnished the property just like a lounge in a home. It is equipped with three piece suites, coffee tables, fires, uplighters etc. We use this on Sunday mornings at 10:45am at present to simulate Church In The House style meetings. This includes breakfast provided by a different member each week. During this relaxed meal news of needs and victories emerge. These are remembered in prayer during the worship. The worship may be led by members who may be experienced in worship leading or not. Musical accompaniment is provided by whatever musical instruments are available or failing that we use CD's. No one bothers if mistakes are made as the service is not a performance. The sermon takes the form of discussing a passage of the Bible in smaller groups and reporting back to the whole meeting.
  • Use 2: Teaching. We will increasingly use the premises as a place to teach on subjects particularly relevant to Church In The House ministry. We trust this will become a regional training centre to be used to equip those who are within travelling distance of Bromsgrove which is at the very centre of the national motorway network. We anticipate this being done on weeknights and weekends. For a list of some of the subjects to be covered see the heading 'Mobile Ministry' (paragraph two).
  • Use 3: Administration. This possibility may be developed in the future.
