As I mention on the main page of my site, much of the information about Simon Modistach (Szymon Młodystach) and his descendants comes from "Młodystach: A Family History of Polish Pioneers" - see above - published in 1985 by the Młodystach Book Committee. Rosslyn Whitcher, a Committee member, informs me that the inflected L (with a slash) in Młodystach is a Polish W sound - 'Mwoidistah'. I like that as I had trouble getting my tongue around the 'Ml' otherwise!

Simon Modistach, whose daughter Anna Dorothea Martha married my great grandfather August Paul Haberecht, arrived in South Australia aboard the George Washington in 1844, with his wife Franzeska Pawelski.
