I've been video editing (linear and non-linear) since studying Media Studies at Exeter College in 1989. From VHS to Beta SP and now DV. For future projects I will be segueing to Apple Computer's FCE (Final Cut Express). This consumer edition of FCP (Final Cut Pro) is based on the same Emmy Award-winning non-destructive, non-linear workflow design.
The first clip showcases original CGI material generated using Bryce. However, the score is used without permission (For demonstration purposes only). The second clip is a short montage of photos and music (using a portion of Jennifer Lopez' Waiting for Tonight). Both clips were edited using iMovie.

Video clip 1 available in Flash, QuickTime, RealVideo and 3G mobile phone formats.

Video clip 2 available in Flash, QuickTime, RealVideo and 3G mobile phone formats.

The explosion in DVD authoring has inspired me to invest in new Apple technologies.

This 'screen capture' was taken from an iDVD project, that has been designed to illustrate my knowledge of the medium. The DVD menus are fully animated, using QuickTime, and incorporate a portion of John Williams' soundtrack score from the Star Wars saga.

This DVD is not a commercial production, and is subsequently unavailable for purchase, download and/or hire. I respectfully acknowledge the original © 2002 held by LucasFilm. All materials used without permission.

The release of the iLife suite ushers-in superior software integration! I'm currently working on a brand new iDVD project.
The technology, which underpins digital video production, can be utilised in the restoration of historical data.

George Lucas' THX division is one of the pioneers of this process, but smaller outlets have emerged. One of the most successful is committed to preserving the BBC drama series Doctor Who (see here). You can buy restored releases here.

Aspiring directors please visit the FOLLY FELDER FILM FESTIVAL here. Nick Smith, who co-wrote December Duet, hopes to make this an annual event!
Whether you're making or distributing a programme, creating content, giving a presentation with impact, or communicating with customers and colleagues over videoconference, Sony have the products and solutions to make your business work.
To view the video clips you must have QuickTime installed on your computer. To get QuickTime, click here.
