There are 87 Divisions throughout California where retired educators provide leadership and work together on common causes and mutual interests. Area IX's 11 Divisions are located in the Riverside and San Bernardino counties close to the cities of Corona, Norco, Palm Desert, Indio, Coachella, 29 Palms, Yucca Valley, San Jacinto, Hemet, Idyllwild, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Banning, Beaumont, Barstow, Apple Valley, Rialto, and Fontana.
If you are a retired educators but have not yet joined CalRTA, now more than any other time in the history of this organization is it urgent for you to become a member. Our pensions are under attack. CalRTA is the real authoritative voice for retired educators. All retired educators should join CalRTA in order for our organization to continue to be strong.
Over 36 years as a educator, he taught at Torrance and San Marino Unified School District. He worked as an administrator in the Needles, Paramount, Yucaipa, Culver City, and as Superintendent of the Fall River Unified School District in Shasta County. He also has taught at the University level; holds degrees from the University of Southern California and a Doctorate in Educational Management from the University of Northern Colorado.
Ralph and Barbara Villani have a daughter and son and six grandchildren. Son John is a teacher in the Palm Springs area and Barbara is a retired teacher from the LA School District.
Villani's said: " Since becoming a leader in CalRTA, my goals have not changed. They are to increase membership in CalRTA and to motivate others to seek leadership roles in CalRTA".
