Barlow Century epic ride

There are epic rides and then there life changing epic rides.

Fellow Bacchetta team member Michael Wolfe and I rode the Barlow Century last Sunday, it was truly one of the best organized centuries I have ever done. The scenery was breathtaking, the weather was perfect (I like it hot), and the company was wonderful. Lots of climbing! Up the Devel's backbone, down into little Switzerland (along with Michael singing "Sound of Music" theme in falsetto), and then up Lolo pass to the top and back home. At the finish there was food, live blues music, and beer.

I also ran into Marilyn and Joe K on their Bacchetta's (welcome home Joe!), and Bob and Denise from Astoria on their Volae's. (The photo below was from the beach last weekend where I ran into them. Small world!).

This is definitely a "must do" organized ride for 07, and a great training ride for the summer months.
