FAQ's .. and INFAQ's

- Both FREQUENTLY Asked Questions .. and Infrequently Asked Questions that OUGHT to have been asked, frequently -

Is it true that lots of the so called "FAQ's", that appear on some websites weren't necessarily asked very frequently at all, but simply are the editors opinion of what questions most people PROBABLY would be asking?

Yes, that appears to be true.  (A supposedly little bit of humor, here!)

Are all wild horses actually feral, or mainly just the ones in America?

A true and comprehensive answer to this question is quite complex. For one thing, there are so many shades of grey between what various people consider to be appropriate standards which distinguish natural wildlife animals from feral animals - from domesticated animals.  However, it can be factually substantiated that many of the few remaining horses in herds that roam freely are no more feral and every bit as actually wild as other animals that more generally are accepted as bonifide wildlife.  The latter include such other animals as bighorn sheep and even some animals that have, at various times, been officially listed as endangered species, such as grey wolves and bald eagles.  The scientific community has been extremely narrowminded and prejudiced in singling out wild horses as being feral, based on the types of exclusionary standards which, if equally applied to all species, almost certainly would result in the MAJORITY of America's now existing wildlife animals having to be reclassified as feral.  The standards used by these scientists and by the U.S. Government, in this regard, do not appear to hold up to closer examination of the degrees to which mankind has interfered with the natural evolution of nearly ALL wildlife, including plants .. and not just wild horses.

This website may be the only place on the internet where you will find such an answer to this question.  And, it is discussed at greater length on both the ORIGINS and POPULAR PROPAGANDA pages (links in the left column) of this Wild Horses section.

THIS PAGE IS IN THE EARLY STAGES OF CONSTRUCTION, WITH MUCH MORE TO BE ADDED, AS QUICKLY AS TIME PERMITS.

Hopefully, this page will be more near completion, sometime before the end of October 2006.   But, even beyond that time, there still is likely to be an ongoing processes of making further additions, from time to time.
