Neighboring Web Sites

Rancho Ontelaunee is privileged to be virtually surrounded my neighbors who are very serious about the welfare of horses and exceptionally involved in both the practice and promotion of natural horse care and keeping.  Although they don't operate a web site, two such neighbors are Cate and Ray Stoltzfus, who own the one hundred some acre Maiden Springs Farm, just 'out back' of our Rancho, with its large indoor arena and indoor-outdoor round pen facilities, which they make available for free use by their horse owning neighbors.  Additionally, Cate has been the organizer of one or two clinics each year, which she has hosted at the farm, attracting attendees from various states (as far away as California) and featuring such past years' clinicians as equine podiatrists Gene Ovnicek and KC LaPierre, trainer Dan Sumerel and Equine Touch clinicians Jock and Ivana Ruddock.

As for the web sites, you can click on the various logos, below, to visit web sites operated by the following neighbors:

Our nearest neighbors, Randi and Gene Peters, lives at the next farm up the road , where Randi is publisher of the national magazine, Natural Horse, now in its seventh year.  As founder and editor  of the Magazine, Randi's main concern is the informational content, while Gene keeps the web site up and running and creates other technical and artistic support items.

Another neighbor, Marjorie Smith, is internationally known for her consultation services and comprehensive Barefoot For Soundness web site, both in regard to specific and detailed directions  for doing natural hoof trimming and other natural horse matters.

For the past several years, our neighbors, Vicki and Ricky Kline have been devoted to operating a facility at their horse farm, for the rehabilitation of horse problems, such as founder, which relate to the equine hoof.  Vicki is an accomplshed, professional equine podiatrist, specializing in barefoot hoof trimming for rehabilitation purposes.

And, Rich Miller, who owns and operates the Moutain Springs Camping Resort in nearby Shartlesville, PA, continues to donate the use of his facilities, which include  two indoor arenas  (one  of which is very  large)  for  use during special events each year, to promote and demonstrate natural horse keeping and training.
Additionally, the availability of cabins for rent at the resort provides convenient lodging for folks who may be coming in from out of town for a weekend horse activity and/or enjoyment of the outdoors and Pennsylvania countryside.
