"We can only save the world as a human habitat if we stop our catastrophic onslaught on the community of life, for we depend on that community for our very lives."

"If we go on as we are, we're not going to be around for much longer - a few decades, a century at most."

Very direct connections exist, both worldwide and nationally, between the ignorant attitudes and politics of most of human civilization and the individual relationships of most people to animals such as horses, as well as between ourselves and to all other life forms.  Most such problems have been around for centuries.  An apparent majority of them just very recently have achieved higher visibility, as various threats to the very survival of the human species now, very probably, either have reached or, in some instances, already gone beyond the point of no return.  At this time in the history of mankind, the measures that actually could stand a chance of actually reversing this desperate situation are extraordinarily extreme and counter to what has become widely accepted human nature.  Desperate times require desperate acts.

Especially in places like the U.S., where most people have been so artificially overdosed into complacency and dullness of their natural instincts for survival - a population that mostly remains placated, so long as there's yet another pill that can be taken for "temporary relief" and, then, another and still another .. and some new, personal "convenience" gizmo to buy (that nobody really needs) as yet another temporary distraction from most of the real world - it seems unlikely that there SOON ENOUGH will be sufficient support to force the drastic measures that need to be taken.  Unfortunately, the deadline for SOON ENOUGH happens to be at right about NOW.

This public denial of reality so much predominates, that probably the best that realistically can be hoped for, is some slowing down of our process of human self-destruction and the march to extinction of our very own species.

Where our relationships with horses are concerned, they certainly seem to be signposts and symbols of what's going on with the self destructive policies of various governments, including that of the U.S.   And, history may note, if written accurately and before the actual extinction of human lifeforms, that the very beginning of the twenty-first century was marked by the United States having a morally and intellectually defective moron for a president, whose ideologies included an unprecedented acceleration of a governmental fool's mission to attempt to impose its controls over all life forms on the planet Earth, largely through denials of freedoms of choice and natural coexistence.  Our government's administrative policy for carrying this out is that all other life forms will be led by the president and his small circle of Corporate State and political co-conspirators to either conform or face the likelihood of being killed or imprisoned and tortured for any resistance.

This modus operandi of the Bush Administration of the 21st century was put to work in the erradication of wild horse herds in America, before it became apparent with the killing of innocent women and children and other civilians in Iraq, before it even more recently became quite noticeable in ongoing U.S. government policies of near total disregard for the well being of citizens of its own country.  It is nothing short of facist and authoritarin rule, based on government lies, deceptions and coverups of illegal, inept and immoral government conduct, with virtually total disregard for public accountability.

Again, this can be seen to relate also to horses, as well as people, as it concerns such issues as how horses are handled and otherwise treated and regarded in America.  Probably the scariest part of this, for genuine horse lovers, is that such things as health, welfare and even life and death decisions for horses, both wild and domesticated now are being made, increasingly, by government bureaucrats who know virtually NOTHING ABOUT HORSES, except how to make money off of them or get them out of the way for something else that is more lucrative.  Likewise, the bureaucrats, as well as the national news media, generally have demonstrated virtually a total ignorance and disregard of the overall, true nature of ecology and the environment.

Now, as never before, there exists an most urgent and desperate need for immediate re-evaluation of the MANUFACTURED evolution of the human species versus NATURAL evolution, to the small and isolated extent that mankind even has allowed the latter to continue for other lifeforms in a few remaining wilderness places on the planet, earth.  Historically, these two types of evolution have been in severe and direct conflict, ever since the evolution of modern humans with their so called higher intelligence, which enabled the development of something called civilization.  What followed, with all of its civilized intelligence, was the human species becoming too smart for its own good, setting the scene for its own unnatural and premature extinction.  For, a NATURAL, not MANUFACTURED balance of nature needs to be preserved on the planet for sustainability of the basic life support systems upon which all lifeforms, including humans, untimately depend for their continued existence.  And mankind never has made any such plans to a sustainable degree.

Civilization on the planet has produced ecologically adverse systems of government, dominated during at least the past century by that of the United States of America.  And, it takes no more than an honest, cursory examination of the more than two centuries long history of this government to reveal that it was hypocritical and misguided right from its beginning.  Given the lower degree of all of human knowledge during the earlier stages of this government, many of the mistakes that were made were understandable, although not justifiable.   Then, more and more with the passing years, more and more of this government's mistakes became nothing short of unconscionable.  Today, with the resulting, apparently imminent threats to the preservation of both the existing national union, itself, and the entire human species, globally, all of the failing history of this sometimes called "great experiment" in democracy needs to be reviewed and re-evaluated, in hopes making emergency reforms, starting with such basic govenment doctrines as the U,S, Constitution and the excessive powers of the President. In such an exercise of American patriotism, which may be the only remaining hope for saving the more reputable ideals of our now foundering nation, individual human rights and public accountability by government officials must be restored, with corporate "rights" and government tyranny being eliminated.  The concept of this degree of government overhaul may seem painful to accept and may be far more painful to actually accomplish.  But, the alternative is to let the greed of the corporate state and the corruption of present government to continue on the present course of ultimate, manufactured and legislated extinction of the human  species on this planet.

Our nation should not be bound by it's government of bureaucrats, which government now is hopelessly failing in its present form.  Our nation is supposed to be a cooperative and self determining body of American people, who cherish freedom, justice, compassion, individual rights to self determination and the sanctity of ALL life forms.  Such qualities are essential but frequently inactive parts of the true nature of most Americans, too often overridden by complacency, selfishness and greed.  And, our nation needs to be a land that we gladly and greatfully SHARE with the rest of nature that already was here, before our "founding fathers" moved in.

(This section of our web site is long overdue and far behind in its intended completion.  One reason is that, each time our federal bureaucracy in the U.S. gets going with a new political SNAFU that badly impacts upon natural ecology and either horse or human welfare (or both), those of us who are concerned about such blatant acts of tyranny, ignorane and immorality (so much accelerated and highly visible during the reign of the Bush administration) no sooner begin to investigate and discover what the latest round of political payoffs and concealments is all about, when the present circle of bureacratic criminals come up with yet another, even more outrageous scheme.

Horses in America historically have been victimized by various forms of so called "politics".   There is, of course, the kind of politics that is connected to government.  But, there also are such things as so called corporate politics and group politics.  Horses continually fall as victims to all of these.)
