people, whom we know to be successful in training their own horses,
have used a combination of methods from several different professional

IN DEFENSE OF ANIMALS (IDA) .. is the only major group, with concerns for wildlive animal protection and preservation, that exercises the fairness in judgement and sound attention to separating facts from propaganda, so as to include wild horses in its various action campaigns. This also appears to be a great organization for overall animal welfare. IDA's 'THEY ARE NOT OUR PROPERTY" campaign has the full and active support of the editor of this Wild Horse Ecology website. |

Defenders of Wildlife : This organization possibly has become the most innovative of all the various national wildlife preservation groups. It certainly appears to be one of the most active. In 2006, its directors announced the organization of regional subdivisions, to more effectively deal with more localized wildlife preservation issues that too often are overlooked by many other so called eco-groups.

Western Watersheds Project: In recent, this Idaho organization actually achieved various degrees of positive action results, to remove some environmentally destructive commercial cattle grazing from western range lands. It obtained federal court rulings to somewhat limit the continued Bureau of Land Management (BLM) abuse and destruction of public lands for private interest profit, at the expense of wilderness preservation for public welfare.
