Upon entering the front pasture, from the Bypass Trail, the horses and llamas immediately are faced with having to climb up still another hill, if they want to go any further for grazing. Unlike Bart, who always appeared to be thinking that charging up and down all these hills was great fun, our palomino horse, Danny, appeared to be less enthusiastic about this, immediately following his arrival in 2003. Danny was too lame, at that time, to seem able to walk even a straight line down the barn isle, without stumbling. And, he was not used to going barefooted. So, he took the hill climbs at a very slow pace, at that time. The next photo, showing the hill up to the house as viewed from a location seen at the left of this photo (where you can see part of a llama, half hidden by the pasture slope) may provide a better idea of Danny's early perspective of these hills.
