Fencing

Photos

In case you connected to this photo directly from the 'FENCING' link on our map-drawing, the specific FRONT pasture location pointed to by that link actually has post and rail fencing, as shown on our "ROAD" and "DRIVEWAY" photos and elsewhere.  In THIS photo, a strip of a different type of fencing, which we use on our BACK pasture and our 'bypass trail', which is a fenced, L-shape trail (seen on the left) which bypasses the house hill area and widens up to become part of the northeastern section of the FRONT pasture. Our opinion is that this type of permanent type fencing is the next most "horse safe" fencing available, second only to post and rail.  We believe that three types of often used fencing, barbed wire, wide square wire mesh ("stock fencing") and exposed high tensil wire all are extremely hazardous and should not be used for horses.
