Calling Home - 05/31/04



I and a few others thought it would be a great idea to have wives calls us on our Olympic supplied Manager's cell phone. Bad news, most if not all US companies charge back the cell charge. So on top of your regular per minute charge there is another 24 cents a minute. I found that on the AT&T site it's not a guess. As bad as the internet is here I would plan on Vodaphone or Talk Talk "scratch" cards and just call home.

There are two kinds of cards. One has a chip in it and can only be used in pay phones. The other is a "scratch card" because you have to scratch off an area to reveal your access code. Those cards can be used on any phone that can call the Greek 800 numbers. I bought another tonight and that 9 Euro card got me 64 minutes. I still can't find higher value or better deal cards. I'll keep trying though.

Also those cell phones they give the managers can't dial an 800 number so you have to find a land line to call the wife.
