MIsc. Tips - 05/26/04
Here's a few things I have
discovered.
If you buy stuff from one
of the little stands on the street, put your money in the little glass dish.
Don't hand it to them. Also they will put your change in
there.
Speaking of paying for things.
Tip is basically included in your bill. The other night we ate at Applebee's and
there was a member fee or something like that. Bottom line is the only time you
really have to tip is really nice dinners. By nice we are talking a 50 Euro per
person dinner requires a 1 to 2 Euro
tip.
On Euros they switch their commas
and decimal points. One Euro and 28 cents would be 1,28 One thousand Euros and
15 cents would be 1.000,15 or at least that seems to be the
standard.
The ground floor is called
zero. Up is 1, 2, 3 and so on. Going down they seem to always be -1, -2 and so
on. All elevators are smaller than they should be too. Check the other blog in
the near future on more elevator details and adventures.
