A frame hangs on a wall with a video image of an outdoor scene projected inside. It looks like a window, or a painting. In the video, a still camera shows the comings and goings of a sunny green landscape populated by golfers, a bicyclist and a dog. The constituents of this saccharine place are both real and miniature models, scaled to appear harmonious in this composited artificial/natural world. The place depicted is one of bourgeois leisure, hermetically protected from the difficulties of real life by virtue of its digital construction. In this installation technology and desire join forces to explore the ways landscaped environments reveal our fantasies and fears.
