What is Seti@home? S.E.T.I @ home stands for Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence@home. It is a scientific experiment contucted by the University ofBerkeley since May 1999, using computers across the Internet for thesearch for extraterretrial intelligence (SETI). You can participate bydownloading and installing a program which downloads recorded data from a radio telescope (currently the 305 m radio telescope in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, more to follow). You can find Seti@home's website with more information here. What's B.O.I.N.C.? B.O.I.N.C. stands for Berkeley Open Infrastructure for NetworkComputing. It is the basis on which many different scientific projectscan run, like Seti@home, Astropulse, Predictor@home, Einstein@home or ClimatePrediction.net.
