I wish that this page was not necessary, but unfortunately there are a few errors that readers of Can-Am 2002 should be aware of. Not included below are a few typos and simple grammatical mistakes.

Throughout the book: We are inconsistent in our use of the word "equity." Most players think of equity as point differential, but in the book it is used to mean winning percentage — except where I (JW) have employed it to mean point differential!

Page 28, column 2: "...the DO combination in Evan's rack overlaps above the A and H in LOTAH." Jim Kramer spotted this one. He writes: It looks like that old phony DA rears it head again! LOATH may well be the play.

Page 35, column 2: Playing ICON or IRON (D9) sticks Evan with the other tile! Again from Jim: This is after WIDE 13A, so an E is already on D13. After TIE 5J, Evan is stuck with the C. IRONE can be played, but not ICONE.

Page 35, Brian's twelfth turn: his rack should no longer have the K on it, and thus should be ?DEINO, not ?DEIKNO. Thanks to Chris Hawkins for spotting this.

page 45 column 2: Square 7L should have a highlighted border to show the blank. The same applies for rest of game.

page 53, column 1: AW is erroneously located at 10D in the text, though not in the table below. 10E is the correct location.

page 63, column 1, ninth line: the location of the big S spot is not H12. It's M12.

page 72 and 73: There are references in the text to blocking row 12. They actually refer to blocking row 13.

page 77, column 2: YONI can be played at 12B, not at 12D.

page 93, column 1: The board diagram is missing an E at 12L.

page 105, column 1,third line: the hook is at 12K, not 12L.

page 115, column 2, second line: REDRAWN should be played at 8G, not 8H.

page 117, column 1: On Robin's fourth turn, she kept ?RT, not ?DR. There is no D on her fifth-turn rack! Incidentally, the main reason that exchanging NPQT sims best is that it is impossible to pick a duplicate D or R: three D's and 5 R's have already been played.

page 119, column 2, second line: CHINA is 1.8% worse than the BAH, not 1.5% worse.

page 124: Robin can play a bingo down column M, not column H.

page 137 column 2: Adam's rack is ILNRT not ILNT. The same problem occurs on page 138, col.1.

page 181, first column: Dave W.'s rack should be AIIIOTW.

page 184, second column: after the candidate move OE, the rack leave should be EHOST, not EHOS.

page 186, top of column 2: We write "The EITY leave has only one out play," but actually there are two. (Thanks to Andrew Fisher.)

page 187, both diagrams: the letter on O9 should be N, not R. In the second column scoreboard, Brian's rack should be AIQRT. The commentary says there are three spots for Brian's Q, but there are actually four. Finally, in the last sentence, Robin's TIS should be at O1 rather than O2. (Thanks to Jim Kramer)

Page 190, top diagram in the second column: Joel's rack should be ?CEEIKR.

Page 204, 1st column diagram: the names Brian and Zev should be switched.

Page 213, 1st column, bottom diagram: the word TOT is missing at M1. (Thanks to Jim Kramer)

page 245, top: change "If you chart your Spread Lost over your last 50 games and see a rising trend, then you are gaining strength" to "If you chart your Spread Lost over your last 50 games and see that this figure is falling, then you are gaining strength."
