New music from Sylvan and Bonamici, Frost, and
Tinyfish on tonight's show, as well as some live
music from a recent appearance by David Gilmour
on the Jay Leno Show.
My best wishes to one of my favorite people in the world, Gary Sauer, who ends nearly five years of doing internet radio tonight. Gary and I have worked together for over the past two years, first at The Dividing Line, and for the past 9 months at ProgRock.com. In that time, we've become good friends, and have attended all three Rosfests together. Wednesday nights won't be the same for me. Good luck Gary!
Sylvan - A Kind Of Eden / Posthumous Silence
Spock's Beard - At The End Of The Day (Live)
Phideaux - Chupacabras
Moonsafari - Doorway
Sylvan and Bonamici - A Quest For The Last Virtue
Poor Genetic Material - Watercolours
Pallas - Ark Of Infinity
Antimatter - Legions
Frost - Black Light Machine
IZZ - Crossfire
Magenta - White Lies
Quidam - Everything's Ended (Live)
Tinyfish - Motorville
Sioban - Free-thinker, Brain-washed, On The Edge Of Suicide
Antimatter - Everything
Like Wendy - Endgame
David Gilmour - Wish You Were Here (Live on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno)

It was great seeing so many old friends this past weekend: Iggy and Tom (and Krista too!), another top-notch event; my com-padre Gary Sauer and his lovely family; John Jowitt, my good friend; Frode, all the way from Norway; Stan and the UK contingent; Buster; Steven the Kilt Man and his wife Jo; the guys from Florida; the Midwest gang; Buster of course; Sharon; Jonas and Krister; Clive (enjoyed our conversation immensely); Greg and April from the Prog Palace; and so many more I'm sure I'm forgetting (Frank at the pizza place across the street, YOU ROCK!). New friends as well: all the guys from Magic Pie (thanks Eirik for the ego boost and the recognition); Euan Lowson, formerly of Pallas (Alan's "nutter" description doesn't even come close); Nick Barrett, we look forward to next year; Sarhan, Krzysiek, and Wojtek of Satellite; the rest of Pallas, especially Graeme (just remember, mine is bigger
); and all the rest of the
band members who are so friendly and
accommodating to everyone.
I've got over 400 pictures to sort through, and hope to have the website updated in about a week or so (once I'm finished with final exams). Next up: Spock's Beard this weekend in Chicago, and then CalProg in July. God, I love prog!
