A quick note of thanks to everyone who supports this show and more importantly, the artists who bring us this great music. Our audience is growing every week. The podcast had a record day for hits earlier this week, and I've had to upgrade my .Mac account to the maximum allowed. Between podcast feed hits and regular downloads, I think we're closing in on the 1000/month mark which is cool, but means nothing if we're not supporting these bands. Please, feed a progger - buy a CD (or 3 or 4).

Also, my site building software (Rapidweaver) was recently updated. I love this program, but each update seems more fucked up than the last. Hopefully, the podcast will show up properly Podcast Alley.

Chris and I hooked up with some of the Mid-West Gang at Lot 4 in Chicago Ridge on Saturday to experience vonFrickle, from Eureka, IL, in person. The band looked great in their chemical suits and face masks, a very unique stage appearance. Their music is unique as well, sort of a mix between psychedlic, space rock, King Crimson, and prog metal. Unfortunately, Carl Palmer was in town last night as well, so a lot of vonFrickle's target audience missed out on a very interesting show. Here's a few pictures from the show:

Next show for us will be CalProg. Chris and I booked our vacation around this trip, with Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, The Grand Canyon, and a chunk of Route 66 on the agenda, all to be taken in from a convertible. I can't wait!

I love discovering new music. Last week, I was listening to the ProgRock.com stream, featuring a library of over 15,000 songs, when I heard something that caught the attention of these old eardrums. Martigan's "Man Of The Moment" is one of the best albums I've come across lately, and we feature it on tonight's show.
